Rain Boots For the Day

each one of us
is longing for a recognition
one way or another

and i am happy
because the rain
this afternoon
affirmed my decision
of wearing rain boots
for the day

i am glad that
the weather cooperated
with the level
of my effort
and recognized the need
for my assumptions
to be correct
